Gasconade R-2 board approves retirements, resignations, employments

The Gasconade County R-2 Board of Education on Monday night approved the following retirements, resignations and employment with 7-0 votes.

The following retirements were approved through the end of the 2020-21 school year and included Janet DeGreeff, middle school special services teacher; Beverly Giebler, high school counselor; Peggy Linhardt, secretary to the superintendent and Board of Education; and Linda Rasmussen, special services secretary.

The retirement of Frank Brocato, bus driver, was approved and is effective Dec. 31.

The resignation of Amy Pohlmann as the Owensville Elementary School principal’s secretary was effective as of Tuesday (Dec. 22) and approved with a 7-0 vote.

The board approved the following employments with a 7-0 vote, including Cheri Kramme as the OES principal’s secretary, effective Jan. 4, 2021; Jodi Ocello as the Gerald Elementary School secretary, effective Jan. 6, 2021; Heather Schlottach, Parents As Teachers educator, effective Jan. 4, 2021; Rebecca Sparks, Gerald Elementary kindergarten teacher, effective Jan. 4, 2021; and Zach Bollmann as assistant track coach for the 2020-21 school year. He is currently an assistant coach for football and wrestling.

The following substitute teachers were approved with a 7-0 vote, including Megan Binkhoelter, Hannah Charboneau, Ryan Hampton, Jennifer McClurg, and Lindsay Rider, pending completion of training and paperwork.

Gasconade County R-2 Schools are on Christmas break until Jan. 6, 2021.
