Geraldine Doyel, 94, Springfield, formerly of Maries County, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021, in James River Care Center, Springfield.
She was born April 27, 1926, to Mark and Martha Overy (Minzes) Blackwell, at Hayden.
She was united in marriage to Floyd Nelson Doyel Sept. 28, 1944, in Vienna.
Geraldine attended Kenner Church of God, Hayden, and after moving to Marshfield, she became a member of United Methodist Church. She was employed with Wayne Metal Company, Dixon and Marshfield, for until her retirement in 1999.
She was preceded in death by husband, Floyd; infant daughter, Rose Marie Doyel; brother, Clarence Blackwell; and sister, Nola Robertson.
She is survived by daughters, Carol Walker and husband Kenneth of Springfield; and Pamela Wailand and husband Russel of Winder, Ga; brother, Russell Blackwell and wife, Lucille of Jonesboro, Ark.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday , May 11, in the Kenner Cemetery, in Dixon, with Rev. Dale Blackwell, Victory General Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow the service.
Memorials are suggested to the Kenner Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.
