Gold cards make return


After a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Owensville Middle and High School student-athletes will once again be selling gold cards as a fundraiser for the Gasconade County R-2 Athletic Department.

Businesses with offers and discounts on the card come from as close as Owensville and as far away as Washington.

Businesses in Owensville participating include Snowensville, Thunder Alley, McDonald’s, Simply Sweet, Great Reflections, Jost Tire, Domino’s Pizza, Gasconade Wellness Center, White Mule Winery Casey’s General Store, Twisters Bar and Grill, and The American Girl.

Snowensville will offer a buy three, get one free deal on their popcorn while Thunder Alley’s deal is buy one game of bowling and get one free.

Twister’s Bar and Grill (inside Thunder Alley) is also offering a one-time use of buy six boneless wings and get six boneless wings free.

In addition to the popcorn deal, Snowensville will offer a free 16 ounce shaved ice with any purchase along with a free 32 ounce cup of lemonade with any purchase both as one-time uses.

McDonald’s is offering a free cheeseburger with any purchase in addition to Simply Sweet giving away a free cupcake or cookie with a $10 purchase.

Along with the free cheeseburger with any purchase, McDonald’s is also offering a one-time only deal where you buy a quarter pounder meal and get a quarter pounder sandwich free.

Great Reflections will give a discount of 25 percent off of hair care products while Jost Tire will take $25 off of a purchase of four new tires.

One can get a medium pizza at Domino’s for $5.99 (8.99 regular price) in addition to $3 off a monthly membership at the Gasconade Wellness Center.

White Mule Winery will offer a free drink with any purchase while The American Girl will give a free eyebrow wax with the purchase of a color.

Rachel’s Rustic Room and Boutique in Rosebud will off $5 off of a $40 or more purchase as a one-time use only.

Casey’s General Store will offer a one-time use only deal of buy any large specialty pizza and get a medium one-topping pizza free.

North of Owensville in Hermann, Wings A Blazin will give cardholders a free upgraded side with the purchase of a dinner platter in addition to a one-time deal of $5 off a small party pack of lips.

Shifting west of Owensville, the Dinner Belle restaurant in Belle is a first-time participant in the gold card program offering a 10 percent discount of any purchase of $10 or more.

Moving back east of Owensville along Highway 50, Quikorner in Gerald will offer a free 20 ounce fountain drink with any food purchase.

DJ’s 66 convenience store in Beaufort will give a free 32 ounce fountain soda to cardholders when they purchase 12 gallons or more of fuel.

Continuing east past Beaufort, four businesses in Union will also offer deals to cardholders.

They include The Pasta House (10 percent off your total purchase), Sonic (buy one single patty burger, get one free), Great Eight Cinema (free small popcorn with a drink purchase) and Taco Bell (10 percent off your total purchase).

Two businesses in Sullivan are also participating in the Dutchmen gold card program.

Jack in the Box will give cardholders a free jumbo jack with the purchase of a jumbo jack.

Sullivan 6 Cinema will give movie goers a free popcorn with drink purchase.

Imo’s Pizza is also offering a deal good at three of their locations in Franklin County within a short drive of Owensville.

At Imo’s, cardholders will get a free eight-piece toasted ravioli with the purchase of a 16 inch pizza at regular menu price. This deal is valid at the Imo’s Pizza locations in Union, Washington and Pacific.

People can purchase these cards from any OMS or OHS athlete until they are all sold.
