GOP celebrates Lincoln

State Rep. Aaron Griesheimer receives applause Saturday evening as he thanks his wife, Amanda, for her support as he begins his first term representating the 61st House Distict. U.S. Congresman Blaine Luetkemeyer, county Republican Central Committee members Ron Hardecke and Sharon Fennewald, and Secretary of State John Ashcroft are also pictured at the Lincoln Day banquet at St. James UCC — Charlotte. Griescheimer spoke in support of Gov. Mike Parson’s $350 million bonding plan to replace aging Missouri bridges to free up general revenue funds for even more state transportation projects. Ashcroft, who spoke about finding ways to fund elections without burdening county budgets, vists afterward to Lou Raineri. Sheriff John Romanus asks for support for a county-wide half-cent law enforcement sales tax which will be on the April 2 ballot.
