The Gasconade County Timing Association sponsored an Honor Flight on Saturday, flying veterans to military memorials in Washington, D.C. The 24-hour round trip started at 12 a.m. Saturday with the plane transporting 26 veterans, mostly from Mid-Missouri, on the all-expenses paid trip. Over the past five years the GTA has raised over $20,000 for honor flights.
Their annual Honor Flight Benefit is scheduled for July 9 at the White Mule Winery in Rosebud. The cruise-in and poker run will include a silent auction, music and food.
