Sophie Hertzing (left) and Johanna Hooper did not let a little wind keep them from completing their duties helping the Gasconade Timing Association hand out awards Saturday in the car club’s 33rd annual Car Show and Spring Fest held in downtown Owensville. Despite early-morning rain-showers, the weather warmed up nicely by noon and brought a steady stream of visitors to the downtown area. GTA officials said they had just over 50 entries in the show despite the rain earlier in the day. Both are granddaughters of car club members. Rainfall returned to the region Tuesday afternoon with predictions of several inches expected before this round of spring weather ends Thursday.
