Helen Lousie Zemann, 94, Woodinville, Wash., formerly of Owensville, passed away Monday, June 6, 2022, at Woodinville Country Estates.

She was born May 8, 1928, to Ray and Lilly Green in Belle. She was eagerly welcomed by her big brother, Harold, and soon welcomed little sisters, Midge and Shirley.

She was united in marriage to Ambrose Zemann Jr., April 24, 1948, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Owensville.

Despite the struggles of the years surrounding the depression, she spoke of her childhood as magical times wading creeks and picking wildflowers. Farm life suited her and she was eager to learn the simple skills of creating a home and caring for family. After the war, she met the love of her life, a handsome Navy vet, Ambrose Zemann, Jr. They married and built a home in Bem, where they soon welcomed Bridget and Paul to their family. After losing Ambrose suddenly, Helen moved to Seattle, Wash. to build on an already full life.

Helen treasured her family, nurtured her faith and was a patriotic citizen of her communities and country. In addition to being a loving mother, she was the idyllic grandmother to Lisa, Heather, Scott, Valerie, Corrie and Kelly. She also blessed several great-grandchildren with her love. She made us better through her love.

She is preceded in death by parents Ray and Lilly; and husband Ambrose.

Helen is survived by son Paul Zemann and wife Cindy; daughter Bridget Dillard and husband Ray; and sister Midge Davis.

Burial will be at a later date at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Owensville.
