Hermann woman, 51, dies early Saturday morning in head-on crash on 19 near Liske

A Hermann woman died early Saturday morning when the car she was driving slid across the centerline on Highway 19 near Liske Road and was struck head-on by a pickup truck.

Frances D. Bullock, 51, was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:19 a.m. Feb. 2 by Gasconade County Coroner Benjamin Grosse. The wreck was reported at 5 a.m. and occurred approximately 410 feet south of Liske Road, according to the report from Missouri State Highway Patrol Sgt. Kent M. Kreftmeyer.

Bullock was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Impala north on 19 when the car slid into the path of a southbound 2009 Dodge Ram pickup being driven by Timothy M. Self. 69, of Jonesburg, Mo. Self was not injured, according to the MSHP report.

Bullock and Self were both wearing seat belts, according to Kreftmeyer’s report. The incident was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Major Crash Investigation Team No. 2 including Sgt. P.J. Kempke and Sgt. J.A. Mulkey. Trooper Bruce F. Baker also assisted. This was the first fatality for Troop F for the month of February and the sixth in 2019.
