For about an hour Monday morning, Owensville High School fall sports practices for football, volleyball and softball were going on simultaneously within steps of each other on the Gasconade County R-2 campus. Linebackers use pads to improve their footwork during the tail end of Monday’s practice. Josie Gerlemann (right, far right) serves the ball during Dutchgirl volleyball practice while teammates Molly Wnuk and Drew Copeland watch to see where the ball will land on the other side of the net. Dutchgirl softball players get some work hitting in their batting cage next to OHS Field. Watch the Aug. 25 issue of The Republican for a special section previewing fall sports.
