Just passing the midway point of April, Kalyn Kemp’s Owensville Dutchgirl soccer team has logged a lot of miles with plenty of road games on the pitch.

So far during the fourth month of 2023, the orange and black have had only one home match at Dutchmen Field against Sullivan’s Lady Eagles back on Tuesday, April 11.

Next week, OHS will see three matches on their home turf while hosting their annual soccer tournament.

Competing against the host Dutchgirls will be Fatima’s Lady Comets, St. James’ Lady Tigers and the aforementioned Lady Eagles.

Round-robin tournament action will kick off on Tuesday, April 25 with Owensville taking on Fatima at 4:30 p.m., followed by St. James facing Sullivan at 6:15 p.m.

Taking Wednesday off, the tournament will resume on Thursday, April 26 with the Dutchgirls playing St. James at 4:30 p.m., followed by Sullivan and Fatima squaring off at 6:15 p.m.

Capping the tournament on Friday will be Sullivan and Owensville at 4:30 p.m., followed by the final contest between St. James and Fatima at 6:15 p.m.

The team with the best record will take home the championship plaque.

In the event of a tie between two teams, it will be broken by the head-to-head result of their match.

A tie between three teams will be broken by score differential followed by fewest goals allowed.

Rain chances are also in the forecast for tournament week.
