Hometown Market stocking shelves

Workers created a mountain of boxes as they quickly emptied them and placed products on the shelves.

Jeff Mesger, who will head up the meat department, was assigned the task of stocking aluminum foil but had to study the shelf labels before he could complete his job.

While most workers stocked shelves, some had their head in the clouds, or at least the ceiling, as final minor repairs were made to the heating/cooling system.

Early Monday morning a delivery truck pulled up to the loading dock at Hometown Market and workers began unloading the first shipment of groceries for the soon-to-be-open store. Owner Stan Voss is scheduling a soft opening sometime in the next week or so—perhaps next Wednesday.

He says when the outside sign reads “Now Open” eager residents can once again shop at a local grocery. Voss plans a grand opening celebration at a later date.
