A New Adventure

How far is too far?

Posted

My column this week is directed toward those who consider themselves part of the Democrat party, specifically, in the four counties we cover, Maries, Osage, Gasconade and Franklin.

My question to you is how far is too far? What would the Democrat party, and its leaders, have to do to dissuade you from voting and supporting them?

Is it going too far when leaders of the Democrat party  encourage violence against Trump supporters? On June 23, 2018, Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Waters told a crowd that it was time to attack Trump supporters in the streets.

I’m a Trump supporter. Do local Democrats think I should be attacked?

Maybe calling for the assassination of a president is going too far. On Youtube, you can find Johnny Depp saying, “When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?” Of course one of our own, Democrat Missouri State Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal, called for Trump’s assignation in 2017.

At least 15 Hollywood stars have called for violence and/or the assassination of Trump. They include famous Democrat backers like Robert De Niro, Snoop Dogg, Rosie O’Donnell and Madonna.

Maybe I missed it but I have found no Democrat leaders who have condemned their remarks, besides those of Chappelle-Nadal.

Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden has also promoted violence. He said he would like to ‘beat the hell’ out of Trump. He wasn’t referring to the election.

After Donald Trump’s younger brother Robert died this summer Twitter was filled with #wrongtrump.

Do our local Democrats wish our President dead?

In September two Los Angeles Sheriff Deputies were shot in an ambush as they sat in their patrol car.  A group of leftists Democrats blocked the emergency room entrance after the officers were shot, shouting, “we hope they die.”

Responding to a tweet that said “Say it with me: blue lives matter,” a progressive think tank, The Gravel Institute, posted on Twitter, “Say it  with me: they don’t.”

Do these far leftists represent the Democrat party in Missouri?

In this summer of unrest, countless businesses have been looted, destroyed and burned to the ground. Those causing the riots were not part of the Republican party. Even if they were not part of the Democrat party they have been encouraged by Democrat leaders.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., has encouraged the violence asking why aren’t there “uprisings all over the country.”

A progressive new Democrat congresswoman, Ayanna Pressley, a representative for Massachusetts in August called for “unrest in the streets.”

Activist and former CEO of Twitter, Dick Costolo, — worth $300 million — said last week, “Me-first capitalists who think you can separate society from business are going to be the first people lined up against the wall and shot in the revolution.”

Will our local Democrats join the revolution?

Democrat politicians in at least 13 cities have cut their police budgets in response to the Defund the Police movement. They include Los Angeles — $150 million, New York — $1 billion, San Francisco — $120 million, Washington D.C. — $15 million, Baltimore — $15 million, Oakland — $14.6 million and Seattle — $3.5 million. This has contributed to a severe loss of moral in police across the country.

Is this a policy that local Democrats support?

John Thompson, Minnesota Democratic candidate for district 67A, shouted “Blue lives ain’t s--t” outside Minneapolis Police Federation President Bob Kroll’s home. He was also filmed beating an effigy of Kroll and his wife in their driveway.

Did he go too far?

The Republican party and conservatives have boxed in the far-right radicals and said that the “white supremacists” movement is too far to the right. That is crossing a line.

Democrat leaders and the media are constantly trying to label President Donald Trump as a “white supremacist.” They do this to try and push him over the line in the eyes of the voters even though Trump has continuously denounced white supremacy during his presidency and just last week declared the KKK a terrorist organization, something no Democrat President has done.

Do these leaders I’ve listed represent Democrats in rural Missouri? If they don’t why hasn’t anyone taken the time to write a letter explaining that they have crossed the line, that they don’t represent them and the Democrat party they stand for?

There are radicals across the country who are taking the Democrat Party in a direction that I believe the rank and file do not condone. This will continue until they lose support from their voters.
