Imogene (Dugan) Vaughn, 87, Cuba, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2019.

She was born Nov. 7, 1931, to Joe and Ester (Bennett) Dugan, in Marshfield.

She was united in marriage to husband, Wilbur Jewel Vaughn, Dec. 31, 1949, in Steelville.

In her young teenage years, Imogene worked as a waitress at Midway Restaurant in Cuba, where she met her husband. She later worked until retirement in housekeeping for the Veterans Home in St. James. She volunteered her time at the Crawford County Historical Museum and also at the food pantry, both in Cuba. Imogene accepted the Lord and was a member of First Baptist Church, Cuba.

In her spare time she liked to read and work crossword puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Ester Dugan; parents-in-law, Henry and Myrtle Vaughn; husband, Wilbur Jewel Vaughn; son, Bryan Vaughn; brothers, Eugene Dugan and Alfred Dugan and wife Linda; sister, Dorothy (Granville) Andrews; brothers-in-law Floyd Vaughn, Lloyd Vaughn, Everett Vaughn, Earl Vaughn and wife Ruth, Noel Vaughn and wife Eilene and Elmer Vaughn; and sister-in-law, May Vaughn.

She is survived by her son, Roger Vaughn and wife Margarete of Owensville; daughters, Julie Ann Darmon and husband David of Ballwin and Charlene Percival and husband Conrad of Rosebud; grandchildren,David Darmon Jr. and wife Andrea of Wildwood, Joseph Patrick Darmon  and wife Sarah of Fenton, Ginger Vaughn of Washington and Tina Heidbrink and husband Patrick of Rosebud; great-grandchildren, Brayden and Reid Darmon, both of Wildwood, Adalee and Andrew Heidbrink of Rosebud; sister, Carol Berry and husband Stanley of Springfield; brother-in-law Charles Vaughn and wife Helen of Cuba; and other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held Friday, July 26, at Hutson Funeral Home, Cuba, where funeral services were held Saturday, July 27, with Pastor Jim Moore officiating. Burial was at Roberts Cemetery, Salem. Memorial contributions suggested to Roberts Cemetery.
