Ina Mae (Caringer) Groves, 87, Vichy, passed away Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021, at Gasconade Manor Nursing Home in Owensville.
She was born Tuesday, Nov. 14, 1933, to William “Bill” Charles and Ina Lucille (Brown) Caringer, in Huzzah.
She was united in marriage to Gerald Stinson Groves, Sept. 5, 1952, in Cherryville.
Ina went to Slowensky School, graduated from Cherryville High School and later attended Draughon Business College in Springfield. She worked for FruCon Construction in St. Louis for two years. She later worked at So Fro Fabrics in Ballwin for 11 years.
She was preceded in death by parents, Bill and Ina; husband, Gerald; sisters, Marie Bay and husband Gene and Billie Manion and husband Walter; and brother, Andy Caringer.
She is survived by children, Theresa Durbin and husband Mike of Union and Tim Groves and wife Stephanie of Hartsburg; brother, Charles “Bud” Caringer of Davisville; and six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 18, at Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating. Burial was in Steelville Cemetery. Memorial contributions suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association or Gasconade Manor for activities.
