The City of Bland and Vichy Community Park hosted firework displays Sunday night. Area residents wait for dusk and the fireworks. Community members at Vichy participated in an egg toss and a duck race before the fireworks. Donations from the Maries County Bank and use of a Perkins Lumber truck and trailer made the Vichy fireworks possible. The Maries County evening skyline was dotted with color throughout the weekend as individuals and organizations launched fireworks to celebrate Independence Day. The Vichy Community Park Association and the City of Bland held their celebrations on Sunday night.
