Irene Ernestine Alma Redecker, 89, Belle passed away Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021 at her residence.
She was born July 7, 1932 to Carl and Irene J. (Fischer) Doerr in St. Louis.
She was united in marriage to Grant F. Redecker on May 5, 1956, at New Hope Methodist Church in Arnold.
Irene was a homemaker who enjoyed painting, gardening, cooking, baking, embroidery, crocheting, and making crafts. She was a member of Rosebud United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by parents Carl and Irene Doerr; husband Grant; brother Walter Hock of Cooper Hill; brothers-in-law Daniel and Willard Redecker; and sister-in-law Caroline Michaelis and husband Fred.
Irene is survived by children Irene V. Schirmer and husband Jim of Hermann, Carl G. Redecker and wife Nina of El Dorado Springs, William T. Redecker and wife Sharon of Union, and Caroline A. Keeney and husband Gary of Belle; brother Richard Hock and wife Casey of Cooper Hill; sister Carol Anderson of Belle; sisters-in-law Wilma Redecker of Desloge and Edna Hock of Cooper Hill; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 23, at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home Chapel, Owensville, with Chaplain Lisa Dutch officiating. Interment was at Rosebud Methodist Cemetery, Rosebud.
