J. Allen Brinkmeyer

J. Allen Brinkmeyer, 93, Washington, formerly of St. Louis, passed away Monday, Sept. 16, 2019, at The Arbors at Victorian Place of Washington.

He was born July 12, 1926, to Oscar W. and Edna (Kohlmeyer) Brinkmeyer, in St. Louis.

He was united in marriage to Meredith Ann (Bultman) Brinkmeyer.

J. Allen enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1944, Navy Air Corp, at Pensacola, Fla. Later he attended Washington University. He founded Clayton Plumbing Company in 1949 and was the former owner of “Fox Run Farm” in Gerald.

He was preceded in death by parents, Oscar and Edna; and wife, Meredith.

He is survived by children, David Allen Brinkmeyer and Nancy Lynn Cook and husband Dr. Roy Cook; and grandchildren, Erich Allen Brinkmeyer and J.S. Cook.

Funeral services were Friday, Sept. 20, at Bopp Chapel, Kirkwood. Burial was at Bellefountaine Cemetery, St. Louis. Memorial contributions suggested to American Cancer Society or Sunshine Mission of St. Louis.
