James Edward DeBroeck, 58, Gerald, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in Town and Country.
He was born May 6, 1960, to James E. and Helen Marie (Koehler) DeBroeck, in St. Louis.
James worked as a carpenter in residential and commercial properties. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, throwing washers, playing bingo and most of all spending time with family.
He was preceded in death by parents, James and Helen; and brother, Joseph DeBroeck.
He is survived by son, Dakota DeBroeck and girlfriend Erin Holmstrom of Gerald; daughter, Tiffany Huesgen and boyfriend Jace Brown of Gerald; a very special friend, Sandy Farrell of Sullivan; sisters, Mary Sprung and Steven of Leslie, Ella Farrar of Washington, Debbie Bogert of Sullivan and Sharon Smith and Mike of Leslie; brother, John DeBroeck and wife Michelle of Gerald; and granddaughter, Shaylynn.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 9, at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home Chapel in Gerald with Pastor Glenn Hollander officiating. Burial was in Lockhart Cemetery in Sullivan.
