James Lee Hartman, 66, St. Louis, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022 at St. Mary’s Hospital, St. Louis.
He was born Dec. 1, 1955, to Melvin Lawrence and Rae Jean (Poetting) Hartman in Washington.
He was united in marriage to Debora Anderson May 4, 1974, in St. Charles.
James enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, barbecues with his family and his job of over the road truck driving.
He was preceded in death by father Melvin, Dec. 25, 1983; and stepfather Anthony Amptmann, March 13, 2021.
He is survived by wife Debora of their home; mother Rae Jean Amptmann of St. Louis; sons Donny Hartman and wife Sara of Linn, and Joey Hartman of St. Louis; daughter Misty Hartman and fiancé Mark Neal of St. Louis; grandchildren Donta’ Hartman and Leya Neal; brothers Steven Hartman and wife Christy of Fenton, Brian, Darren and Kevin Poetting all of St. Louis; sisters Glenda Siefert and husband David of Morrison, Laura Reprogle and husband Harold of Bay, and Sandy Hartman of St. Louis; and a host of nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews he loved dearly.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 31, at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home, Owensville, with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. Burial was in Countryside Memorial Gardens.
