Jean Louise Ashner, 57, Bland, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021, at her residence.
She was born May 29, 1964, to Kenneth F. and Mary (Wagner) Witte in Lemay.
She was united in marriage to David Ralph Ashner Oct. 4, 1986 at St. Andrews Church of Lemay.
Jean was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Owensville. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed reading and spending time with family.
She was preceded in death by father, Kenneth; son, Luke Matthew Ashner; parents-in-law, Ralph and Jean Ashner; and sister-in-law, Terry Witte.
She is survived by husband, David of the home; mother and step-father Mary and Robert Maher of Lemay; sons, Ralph of Bland, Robert and wife Heather of Owensville, Nick and fiancé Samantha Catterson of Quincy, Ill., Clint of Cape Girardeau and Joseph of Bland; daughters, Abigail Ashner and fiancé Clayton Verdot of Linn, Anna Echols and husband Taylor of Rosebud and Sophia Ashner of Bland; brothers, Michael Witte of Owensville, John Witte and wife Karen of New Haven, James Witte of St. Louis, Patrick Witte and wife Mary of High Ridge and Tom Maher and wife Mary of St. Louis; sisters, Rita Slovacek and husband Steve of Mehlville, Sharon Slovacek and husband Kirt of Oakville and Mary Knott and husband Dave of Robertsville; and grandchildren, Hailie Wells, Lucas Staton, Macy Catterson, Wren and Rylee Echols and Finley Ashner.
Visitation will be today, Wednesday, July 14 from 9-11 a.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville.
Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the Chapel with Fr. Wayne Boyer officiating. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery.
