Jerome Allen Winthorst, 85, Jefferson City, passed away Monday, May 30, 2022, surrounded by his family.
He was born on Oct. 13, 1936 a son of the late Richard and Effie (Brumley) Winthorst in Washington.
He was united in marriage to Carolyn Korman, Sept. 9, 1961, in Starkenburg.
Jerome was a 1954 graduate of Owensville High School. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. For 35 years he worked for Central Electric Cooperative. After retirement he farmed. Jerome enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling with Carolyn and spending time with his family. He was a faithful member of St. Martins Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by parents Richard and Effie; and sister Arletta Jean Latall.
Jerome is survived by wife Carolyn; son Michael Winthorst (Cindy); grandson Landon Winthorst (friend, Tayler Mathes); sisters Barbara Clark and Connie Delcour.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Friday, June 3, at St. Martins Catholic Church, St. Martins, with Fr. Jason Doke officiating. Interment was in the St. Martins parish cemetery in Starkenburg.
