Jerry Everett Jose, 80, Bland, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020, at St. Mary’s Health Center in Jefferson City.
Jerry was born July 11, 1940, to Everett and Ethel (Wardenburg) Jose, in Ellisville.
He was united in marriage to Karen Oberg Kreftmeyer, June 11, 1983, at Ebenezer Stone Church in Gerald.
Jerry was a tool and die maker and machinist. There wasn’t anything that he couldn’t make or do. He owned and operated his own shop for many years. Jerry also helped his wife with her Antique Shop and their storage units. Jerry enjoyed his grand-kids and great-grand-kids, story telling, hunting and fishing, canoeing, skiing in Colorado, auctions, country and bluegrass music and antiquing and traveling. Jerry was known in the family for his great barbecues on 4th of July and the best baked whole ham at every Christmas. Jerry loved his cattle, horses, and his dogs. He will be missed by his Schnauzer “Missy.” He was baptized and confirmed into Christian faith at St. John’s Lutheran Church in May of 1959 by Rev. Walter Rosen.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Everett Jose and mother, Ethel Jose Bine; his step-dad, Matthew Bine and his pet, “Pepper.”
His survivors include his children, Christine Jose of Belle and Clint Jose and wife Joyce of Owensville; and their mother, Roberta Rollins of Belle; step-son, Troy Kreftmeyer of Union; three grandchildren, Thomas Jose of Owensville, Sarah Jackson and husband Devin of Owensville, and Hannah Meyer and husband Ryan of Holt Summit; six great-grandchildren, Brenner, Everly, Brooks, Etta, and twins Ansley and Harper; cousins and friends. He will be missed by all.
A private graveside family service was held Saturday, Nov. 28, with Pastor Roger Johnson officiating in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Owensville.
