Jewell Marie Birkmann, 82, Owensville, passed away Friday, July 31, 2020, at Capital Region Medical Center, in Jefferson City.
She was born Jan. 14, 1938, to Ora and Florence (Redden) Carwile, at Bay.
She was united in marriage Oct. 1, 1955, to Junior Henry Birkmann, at the Methodist Parsonage in Owensville.
Jewell was a member of Owensville Christian Church. She enjoyed spending time with family especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by parents, Ora and Florence; husband, Junior; son, Dale; great-grandson, Jace Harris; and two brothers.
She is survived by children, Bill Birkmann and wife Debbie of Jamestown and Connie Coppedge of Mt. Sterling; sister, Zelda Beasley of Owensville; grandchildren, Jessica Bailey and husband Adam of Wardsville, Justin Coppedge and wife Brittany and Ethan Garth and significant other Madison Ragan, all of Owensville, and Stephanie Birkmann and significant other Cole Rackers of Jefferson City; and great-grandchildren, Caleb and Clara Coppedge, Blayne and Caelynn Bailey and Jaxon Harris.
Visitation will be (today)Wednesday, Aug. 5, from 4-8 p.m. at Gottenstoeter Chapel in Owensville where funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 6, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Patric Klingforth officiating. Interment will be in the Countryside Memorial Gardens. Visitation and service are open to the public but please observe restrictions. Masks are requested but not mandatory.
