Joyce Evelyn Rasmussen, 88, Rosebud, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur.
She was born Aug. 4, 1932, to William and Evelyn (Kottmeyer) Traub, at Beemont.
She was united in marriage to Henry “Hank” Rasmussen, April 8, 1951, at Stony Hill.
Joyce was a member of St. James United Church of Christ in Charlotte where she belonged to the Women’s Guild. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and gardening.
She was preceded in death by parents, William and Evelyn; husband, Hank; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Rasmussen; sisters, Shirley Lottmann and Norma Rohlfing; and brothers-in-law, Harold Lottmann and Marvin Rohlfing.
She is survived by sons, Stanley and Darryl Rasmussen and wife Sydnee and Scott Rasmussen and wife Linda, all of Rosebud, and Ryan Rasmussen of Owensville; brother, Ronald Traub and wife Debbie of Hermann; grandchildren, Bradley Rasmussen and wife Janelle of Gerald, Gena Hiatt and husband Kevin, Kayla Strubberg and husband Quinton, Bailey Rasmussen and Aaron Meyer and wife Kara, all of Owensville, Zach Rasmussen and Amber Zeugin and husband Ken, all of Rosebud, David Mincemeyer and wife Susan of Leasburg, Joshua Hollandsworth of Sullivan and Jason Hollandsworth and wife Jenny of Hartsburg; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 25, at St. James United Church of Christ in Charlotte with Rev. Van Lahmeyer officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions suggested to family’s choice.
