Karen Denise Guthrie, 61, Gerald, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 12, 1958, to John and Rita (Eckelman) Sheahan, in St. Louis.
She was united in marriage to James Guthrie, April 21, 1989, in Benton.
Karen owned and operated a gift shop. She enjoyed art, collecting antiques and making crafts. She also had a great fondness for animals.
She was preceded in death by parents, John and Rita.
She is survived by husband, James, of the home; daughters, Sarah Kroenung and husband Ryan of Ballwin, Catherine Guthrie and significant other Cole Iten of Owensville; son, David Guthrie of Columbia; brother, Brett Sheahan and wife Heather of Hazelwood; sisters, Theresa Odelehr and husband John of Wright City, Tammy O’Connor and husband John of Florissant and Peggy Johnson and husband Howard of Creve Coeur; and grandchildren, Lucy Kroenung, Evie Kroenung and Amelia Iten.
A celebration of life was held Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Gerald.
