Kathryn Anne Lansford, 76, Gerald, passed away Sunday, Nov. 6. 2022, at her residence.

She was born Aug. 5, 1946, to Earl and Neva (Meade) Paasch in St. Louis.

She was united in marriage to Don Lansford, Oct. 14, 1967, at First Baptist Church in Owensville.

Kathy was raised by her grandparents, Albert and Meta Meade who owned the hotel downtown, which is now a historic site. She loved meeting all the new and interesting visitors that came to town. She was active at Owensville High School, cheerleading and playing volleyball and graduating in 1965. She and her husband were members of First Baptist Church of Owensville where she played the piano and organ, sang in the choir and taught Sunday school classes. She was instrumental as a GA leader, teaching local women etiquette and how to make beautiful dresses and hats. She loved to decorate at special events at which she was very gifted. She enjoyed working as a hairdresser at Scissors of Oz at Gerald for many years. She donated her time at the nursing home doing hair and make up. She also enjoyed bowling league and once bowled a perfect game.

Kathy loved kids, church and family. She was filled with joy and love. Her smile and spark will be missed by all.

She was preceded in death by parents Earl and Neva; grandparents Albert and Meta; and brother Col. Terry Paasch.

She is survived by her life-long love, husband, Don Lansford; children Lori Payne and husband Jeff, Dena Loague and husband Andrew and Nick Lansford and wife Stacey all of Owensville; brother James Andrews of Florida; grandchildren Taylor Loughridge, Jarett Payne, Bryce Payne, Wyatt Loague, Jordan Loague, Garrin Loague, Gavin Loague, Madalynn Lansford, Celine Lansford and Journey Lansford; great-grandchildren Ethan Loague, Emily Loague and Chloie Zelch-Scheper; sister-in-law Susan Paasch; nephews JT and Kelly Paasch; and niece Angela Foldi.

Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 10, from 9–11 a.m., at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home, Owensville.

Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., at Gottenstroeter’s Chapel with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Countryside Memorial Gardens in Owensville.
