Kem Allyn Steiner, 63, Jefferson City, passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 2021.

He was born Nov. 15, 1957, in Washington, a son to the late Erlene (Drewel) Steiner.

Kem attended Bland High School where he graduated top of his class as valedictorian in 1976.

He was united in marriage to Kelley Uffmann, Sept. 19, 1981, in Bland.

Kem loved spending time with his family and friends, enjoyed playing fast pitch softball, drinking beer, collecting Ducks Unlimited gear, watching the St. Louis Cardinals, muscle cars and hot blondes.

In addition to his mom, Erlene, Kem was preceded in death by his Granny and Pappy Drewel; and aunt and uncle, Erna and Jim Peth.

In addition to his wife, Kem is survived by: one son, Ross Steiner and his wife Rita of Loose Creek; two daughters, Jenna Sladek and her husband Nick of Pacific and Kara Sneeringer and her husband Darren of Catawissa; four grandchildren, Eliott Sladek, Rowynn Steiner, Lukas Sladek and Remy Steiner; one brother, Ned Steiner of Bland; one niece/god-daughter, Rachel Schlottog and her husband Kurt and their son Jance of Bland; one cousin, Steven and Jennie Peth of St. Louis; as well as many other extended family members and friends.

Graveside services were held Friday, Jan. 15, at Old Bland Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family of Kem Steiner, to be divided among his grandchildren.

Arrangements entrusted Sassmann’s Chapel, Bland.
