Matt Kramme was sworn in Monday as a Ward 2 Owensville alderman by City Clerk Peggy Farrell. Kramme replaces Rob Borgmann who resigned Sept. 6 since he has moved into Ward 1. Borgmann served 15 and a half years over seven terms. Kramme will fill the unexpired term until the April 2023 Municipal Election when the position will be on the ballot for a 2-year term. “He’s just a great young man,” said Mayor John Kamler on appointing Kramme to the board. “We’re getting younger blood on the board.” Approval came from all three remaining aldermen (from left) Cathy Lahmeyer, Denise Bohl and the board’s new president, Kevin McFadden. Kramme motioned for final approval of Ordinance No. 1400 allowing established businesses in the city to operate food trucks with certain restrictions and requirements after purchasing a $15 annual license.
