Lack of integrity in Department of Justice

The United States of America is a country of laws. Integrity in our justice system is what holds us together. In theory, no one is above the law.

Unfortunately, that is not always the case. For years now, there has been a two-tier justice system: one for Republicans and one for Democrats.

Republicans have become used to this; Democrats ignore it.

For example, there are at least 12 documented crimes committed by Hillary Clinton for which she has never been charged, let alone investigated.

One of her crimes was sharing classified material to others who were not cleared to have it in their possession. This is the same crime for which former CIA Director General David Petraeus was tarred and feathered for. He received two years probation, plus a fine of $100,000 for his offense.

In addition to Hillary, some of the Democrats who have not been charged with crimes in the last few years include James Comey, James Clapper, John Brennen, Christopher Steele, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, and Andrew McCabe, Bruce and Nellie Ohr and Susan Rice.

An article in the American Spectator proclaims, “Republicans go to jail, Democrats run free.”

This lack of integrity in our justice system goes beyond politicians. Two weeks ago, a group of “green warriors” stormed the Department of Interior over Climate Change. During the clash, security personnel sustained “multiple injuries,” one officer was taken to a hospital, agency spokeswoman Melissa Schwartz said. The group also vandalized a statue of Andrew Jackson.

This was a leftist mob. Based on Democrat rules, this was an attack on our democracy. These insurrectionists should be tracked down and arrested.

Other leftist mobs have attacked our democracy with little consequence, including Antifa and BLM. Antifa repeatedly attacked the federal courthouse in Portland, Ore. last year.

In the next step, far-left Democrats are trying to use our justice system to intimidate Conservatives.

On Sept. 29, the National School Boards Association sent a letter to the White House asking for federal assistance to combat acts of “domestic terrorism” made by parents against school board officials.

This has come about due to frustration with local school boards in many areas across the nation over transgender policies, mask mandates, and critical race theory.

The Department of Justice responded to the letter by issuing a memorandum asking the Federal Bureau of Investigation to “address threats against school administrators, board members, teachers and staff.”

Anyone can be prosecuted for making threats or violence. But this does not rise to the level of terrorism. The question is, why do these crimes need to be investigated by the FBI and not local police? The answer is the FBI is more intimidating.

To help spread the intimidation and hate, Jason Johnson, an MSNBC host, called those protesting school boards “White Nationalists.” “We have to respond to these folks, not simply saying they’re marginal voices, but to respond to them as the threats that they represent to our democracy.”

Here is the double standard. When Democrats protest, it is considered essential to our democracy. When Republicans protest, it is a “threat.”

The uproar was so intense that the NSBA has since issued an apology.

There are more examples of rules for thee but not for me.

Last September, a woman was tasered and handcuffed in Logan, Ohio, for not wearing a mask while watching her son’s football game. She was obviously outside and just as evident a safe six-foot distance from other spectators.

More recently, a 16-year-old high school student in Wyoming, Grace Smith, was handcuffed and arrested at school for her refusal to wear a mask on school grounds.

President Joe Biden and his wife Jill were seen on video walking through a high-end Georgetown restaurant without masks just over a week ago, violating Washington, D.C.’s indoor mask mandate.

They won’t be arrested and neither has any prominent Democrat who ignores mask mandates — sometimes their own. The point is,  nobody should be arrested for not wearing a mask.

Sadly this is the America we live in today.
