Larry Zulauf

Larry Zulauf, 75, Jefferson City, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021, at Capital Region Medical Center. 
He was born Dec. 29, 1945, a son of the late Gene and Velda Zulauf.
Larry earned a master’s degree in political science and a Bachelor’s of Science in education at Lincoln University. He was an Owensville High School graduate and was proud to be a Dutchman. He spent the majority of his career as president and CEO for Job Search Consultants, Inc.  After proudly serving four years in the U.S. Air Force, he came to Jefferson City and opened Hole In the Wall Bar-B-Que, Z-Man’s Bar-B-Que and other restaurants, bars and the Michigan Place Event Center.
He was celebrating his 50th year as a proud Elks member.  He was also a beloved member at the Eagle Hall in Hermann and the American Legion in Jefferson City.  
Anyone that knew Larry knew that he loved the Kansas City Chiefs, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Missouri Tigers.  He loved spending time at the Osage River, fishing, socializing and spending time with his beloved river family. 
He was also preceded in death by sister, Peggy Zulauf.
He is survived by brother Gary Zulauf and wife Sue of the state of Tennessee.
Friends are invited to attend a celebration to honor Larry, Saturday, April 10, at 5 p.m. at Michigan Place Event Center.  Please honor Larry by wearing Chiefs, Cardinals or Missouri Tiger attire.
Larry was larger than life.  He loved and helped so many people.  All Larry wanted was for people to be happy and feel loved.  If Larry touched your life, please learn from his positive demeanor and willingness to help those he could.
