Leif Haslag, 42, Columbia, passed away Thursday, Oct. 3, 2024 after a hard battle with pancreatic cancer.
He was born March 19, 1982, the son of Laren and Donna (Heet) Haslag in Jefferson City.
He attended Immaculate Conception grade school in Loose Creek and Fatima High School in Westphalia.
Leif worked at Precision Water & Power Sports of Jefferson City and Harley Davidson of Columbia.
He enjoyed boating on the Osage River, working on vehicles, motorcycles, window tinting and installing car stereos. There was nothing he couldn’t fix.
Leif had a huge heart for animals and loved them all. He loved his family and his children and enjoyed spending time with them.
Leif was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Don and Lola Heet (Owens); paternal grandparents, Aloysius and Hildegard Haslag (Schnieder) of Loose Creek; and first cousin and best friend, Eric Borgmeyer of Bonnots Mill.
He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by parents, Laren and Donna Haslag of Loose Creek; children, Hunter Haslag of Linn and Tayler Haslag of Loose Creek; sisters, Lana Haslag of Jefferson City and Laci Hertzing of Loose Creek; nieces and nephews, Parker Ross and Sophie, Bentley, Josie and Charlie Hertzing.
Private services will be held for the family.
