Let us not give up meeting together

To the Editor:

A couple of weeks ago I saw in this paper where some churches were having drive up church services.

How neat is that?

I think you are as safe in your own car listening to a powerful sermon from your pastor as you would be in your own living room playing a video game. I know the Governor said essential events only but tell me, what is more essential than gathering together to hear a sermon straight from the inherent word of God.

I think it is on the same line or above physical food and that has been deemed essential. I think there are some churches out there that are doing something online but what about the elderly and the ones that don’t have internet service?

You can only imagine how a shepherd would feel if part of his flock were left behind. As it says in Luke 11:23 — “He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters.”

I am not big on fighting but if you see the need for it, make sure it is fighting for Christ by keeping the church together and making sure that the true word of God is taught — and then you will know that Satan is jumping up and down in frustration and we believe God would be saying “Well done my good and faithful servants.”
