The Gerald Lions Club raised $8,000 for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital from their recent Poker Run. The run was held Saturday, Oct. 9. The money was raised through registration fees of participants, raffles, a silent auction and donations. A group of side-by-side enthusiasts joined the Lions Club earlier this year. It was largely due to their enthusiasm, hard work and know how that the club was able to have such financial success with their fund-raiser. The Lions Club will be sponsoring a Fall Festival this Saturday, Oct. 23 from noon to 6 p.m. on Main Street. Some of those who entered the Poker Run will have their shined up and on display at the festival’s car show.
