Lonnie D. Feeler, 69, Belle, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at Capital Region Hospital in Jefferson City.

He was born Oct. 29, 1950, a son to the late Archie C. Feeler and Beatrice C. (Ballance) Feeler. 

He was united in marriage to Connie S. Haddox, Jan. 24, 1969, in Owensville, and to this union two sons were born.

Lonnie was a member of the Vichy Community Church in Vichy.

Lonnie retired from the city of Belle after 39 years of service. After retiring from the city Lonnie went to work for Missouri Water Source in Belle until he was unable due to his health. He loved to watch the St. Louis Cardinals, Mizzou football and basketball. He looked forward to all the traveling baseball that Lane participated in. He also loved to watch his granddaughter play basketball. He had commented on how tall she was and how she had improved in her game. He liked to go trotline fishing (on June 30, he caught a 47 pound flathead catfish) and he was so excited. He loved taking Lane and Ava deer hunting. He also enjoyed the annual deer hunting breakfast. His sister Llona and niece Tina would get up at 2:00 in the morning so they could eat by 4:30. Lonnie also enjoyed elk hunting and gardening.

He is preceded in death by his parents Archie and Beatrice; his in-laws Wendall and Wanda Haddox; and brothers-in-law, Arthur Hance of Vichy, Edward Brown of Owensville and nephew Troy Feeler of Belle.

Those left to mourn the passing of Lonnie are: his wife, Connie, of 51 years; two sons, Michael Feeler and Christopher Feeler and his wife Vanessa of Belle; four grandchildren and one great grandson, Shannon Roach of Mt. Sterling, Jordan Feeler of Cuba, Lane Feeler and Ava Feeler of Belle and great-grandson Desmond Roach of Mt. Sterling; brother, Ladair Feeler and his wife Joyce of Belle; sister Llona Hance of Vichy; honorary brother, Elmer Schulte and his wife Norma of Owensville; one sister-in-law, Sharon Brown of Owensville; hunting buddy Kurt Schulte; along with many other nieces, nephews and other extended family members and dear friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 11, at Vichy Community Church in Vichy with Gary Lane and JR “Marty” Moreland officiating. Interment followed in the Davis Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family of Lonnie Feeler.
