Lonny Joe Nelms, 59, Owensville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, at Frene Valley Healthcare in Owensville.
He was born Dec. 18, 1959, to Billie Joe and Patsy (Layne) Nelms, in St. Louis.
Lonny enjoyed going to casinos and managing restaurants and was a very generous person.
He was preceded in death by father, Billie Joe Nelms.
He is survived by mother, Patsy Koppelmann and husband Ron of Gerald; brothers, Loyd Nelms of Owensville, Richard Nelms of Leslie, Lyle Nelms and wife Cindy of Manilla, Ark. and Robert Nelms of Owensville; sister, Jennifer Dorton and partner, Guy McMahon of Lake Ozark; step-brother, Ron Koppelmann Jr. and wife Cindy of Gerald; step-sisters, Julie Stone and husband Tim of Wyandotte, Okla. and Cheryl Juby and husband Gary of Sperry, Okla; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 26 at Gottenstroeter Chapel with Pastor Ron Koppelmann Jr. officiating.
