Lorene V. Ellerbrake, 83, Lincoln, Neb., died June 12, 2019.
She was united in marriage to Rev. Elmo K. Ellerbrake.
Lorene was a Union High School graduate. She obtained her Bachelor of Science of Education from Elmhurst College. She later obtained a Master of Science in Education from the University of Nebraska. She taught in several schools and retired from teaching third and fourth grade in Unadilla, Neb. in May of 2000. She was a Sunday school teacher, choir director and 4-H leader.
She was preceded in death by parents, Otto and Irene Young; husband, Elmo; and brothers, Marvin, Otis and Kermit.
She is survived by children, Mark, Amy and Bob James, Sara and Rodney Turpel, Heidi and John Grealish and Jon; sisters, Doris and Howard Moye, Sally and Paul Westermeyer and Sandra Burke; sister-in-law, Geraline Ellerbrake; and 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Saturday, June 22, at St. John’s UCC in Syracuse, Neb. Memorial contributions suggested to St. John’s UCC in Syracuse, Neb.
