Margie Lee Harris, 72, of Owensville, passed away Sunday, Sept. 29, 2024, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Town and Country.
She was born Feb. 23, 1952, to William H. and Eldora J. (Lunsford) Harris in St. Louis.
Margie was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed being with family and friends, listening to country music, sitting around campfires, fishing and would do anything to not miss a Friday night of bingo. In her younger years she loved to go camping any chance she would get. Recently she became the Auxiliary Historian and was enjoying taking pictures at all the VFW events. She will be missed dearly by so many.
She was preceded in death by parents, William and Eldora; and siblings, Patricia Nichols, Michael Harris and Barbara Weirich.
She is survived by nieces Kara Meyer and husband Aaron of Owensville and Cheri Nichols Patton of St. Louis; nephews, Jeff Weirich and wife Dawn of Washington, Jonathan Harris, Matt Hamilton, Dallas Hamilton and James Nicholes; great-nephews, David and Robert Weirich and Tanner Meyer; great-niece, Addilyn Meyer; along with close friends, Aspen Morris and children, Keith McQueen and wife and John Bowman.
Her body was cremated and services will be scheduled at a later date.
Her cremains will be interred at Martin-Weirich Cemetery in Gerald.
