Marita Ketcherside

Marita Edith Ketcherside, 84, Owensville, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan.

She was born on June 15, 1935, to William and Edith (Reed) Kaufman, in St. Louis.

She was united in marriage to Cloyed C. Ketcherside, July 29, 1950, in Pocahontas, Ark.

Marita was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Owensville. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, bowling and golfing. In her later years she loved going out to dinner with her group of friends.

She was preceded in death by parents, William and Edith; husband, Cloyed; and brother, Allen Kaufman.

She is survived by sons, Richard Ketcherside and wife Nancy of Owensville and Keith Ketcherside and wife Kim of Meriden, Kan.; grandchildren, Curt Ketcherside and wife Melissa of Cuba, Matthew Ketcherside and wife Tangelia of Cuba, and Sam Ketcherside of Meriden, Kan.; and six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were Saturday, Feb. 29, at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Beaufort with Rev. David Roth officiating.
