He was born Dec. 22, 1953, in Owensville, a son of Henry Hundley and Loretta Ellen (Fisher) Murray.

Mark spent his entire life in Owensville. He was educated in Owensville public schools and took classes at East Central Junior College. He worked at Murray’s Hardware & Furniture Co., Owensville Lumber Co., and eventually hired himself out as a handyman. Mark’s carpentry skills were amazing. He remodeled homes, built cabinets, furniture, and staircases to perfection. There was no job too big or small, that he couldn’t do. He loved his pet dogs and Snickers, the goat, who was always fist-bumping his nephews with its head. He enjoyed rock music and going to concerts with his friends. He had a deep interest in Sc-Fi books and movies, and was a big fan of Game of Thrones and Star Trek.

His survivors include sisters, Cindy Murray Olson of St. Louis and Cheryl E. Jett of Conroe, Texas; five nephews and one niece, who loved and respected him; four great-nieces, and two great-nephews, cousins, and good friends. Mark was a good man greatly loved and will be missed.
