Mark Ray Shockley, 64, of Owensville, passed away Monday, Dec. 26, 2022, at his residence.
He was born July 12, 1958, to Gilbert W. and Mattie M. (Davis) Shockley in Washington.
He was united in marriage to Deborah Haddox, Oct. 4, 1975, at Liberty Baptist Church in Owensville.
Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing of all types, watching westerns on television and spending time at their lake house at Lake of the Ozarks. He also loved canning and processing and having fish fries in his shed.
He was preceded in death by parents, Gilbert and Mattie; son, Mark Ray Shockley Jr.; and brother, Martin Shockley.
He is survived by wife, Deborah of their home; aunt, Ida Barnett of Camdenton; sisters-in-law, Betty Shockley and Deniece Fedrick and husband Ron; brother-in-law, David Haddox; nieces, nephew and cousins; and special friends, Neil and Diana Kuhne and Jeff Kuhne and Lisa.
Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 29, from 4–8 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville.
A graveside service will be Friday, Dec. 30, at 11:00 a.m. at Countryside Memorial Gardens in Owensville with Rev. Kevin Sullivan officiating.
