Mary Louise Burlison, 90, DeSoto, formerly of Owensville, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at Baisch Nursing Center in DeSoto.
She was born June 14, 1928, to George Gilburt and Rose E. (Bushor) Argent, in Ferguson.
She was united in marriage to John Burlison, June 12, 1948, in Overland.
Mary was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She belonged to the Order of Eastern Star and was a member of SEICU. She was a retired school bus driver from Hazelwood School District.
She was preceded in death by parents George and Rose; brothers, Richard L. Argent and Robert E. Argent; and daughter, Barbara Caldwell.
She is survived by husband, John Burlison of Owensville; sons, John David Burlison of Festus and James Burlison of St. Clair; daughter, Beverly Yates and husband Larry of DeSoto; sister, Betsy Kellerher of Cuba; grandchildren, Ericka Gulden of St. Louis, Jaime Burlison of Florissant, Shanna Murdoch of Ste. Genevieve, Jacob Murdoch and wife Maegan of Onamia, Minn., and Mary Yates and fiance’ Nick Robinson of Hillsboro; and four great-grandchildren.
An Eastern Star service was held Friday, March 8 and funeral services were held Saturday, March 9, all at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home in Owensville. Burial was at Countryside Memorial Gardens, Owensville. Memorial contributions suggested to the Order of Eastern Star.
