Maxine Elizabeth Bossaller, 85, Linn, passed away Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021, at Gasconade Manor in Owensville.

She was born Oct. 2, 1935, to the late Clarence and Lydia (Biere) Ahrens in Gasconade County.

She was united in marriage to Arnold Bossaller Sept. 4, 1954, at Zion Church in Bay.

Maxine was a 1953 graduate of Owensville High School.

She was employed at the Gerald Cap Factory, Linn Manufacturing, McGraw Edison, Schaeperkoetter Store, Thriftway, 89 Hog Buying Station, Freedom Mutual and served as the Osage County Public Administrator.

Maxine was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Freedom where she served as their organist for over 60 years, LWML, and the VFW Post #4756 Ladies Auxiliary.

She enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning, deer hunting, and spending time with her family.

Maxine was preceded in death by spouse of 63 years, Arnold; parents, Clarence and Lydia;brother, Ken Ahrens; and sister-in-law, Martha Ahrens.

She is survived by sons, Edwin Bossaller and wife Cindy L. of Mt. Sterling, Clifford Bossaller and wife Cindy K. of Washington, and Herbert Bossaller and wife Elva of Broken Arrow, Okla.; daughters, Patty Walkenhorst and husband James of Gerald and Lisa Walsch and husband Steve of Freedom; brothers, Vernon Ahrens and wife Marie of Dover, Ark. and Randy Ahrens of Strawberry, Ariz.; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 10, at Morton Chapel in Linn.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Freedom with Pastor Paul Landgraf officiating. Interment will be in the Pilgrim Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorial contributions suggested to Pilgrim Lutheran Cemetery Fund or Pilgrim Lutheran Ladies Aid.
