An estimated $1.5 million renovation to the Owensville McDonald’s is scheduled to be mostly completed by the end of the week. Owner Joan Elhoffer said the facility is scheduled to be open again for business on Monday, Sept. 30, after closing completely for construction work on Labor Day. Elhoffer (above) exits the remodeled east entrance on Thursday as a stucco-like material is being installed on the upper portion of the building. Tradesmen were trimming out interior walls around the new women’s bathroom. Elhoffer said they may still be installing some of the windows and framing on Sept. 30 but they will reopen for business that morning. The renovated facility includes new bathrooms, a second drive-up order lane, an enlarged kitchen area and new kitchen equipment.
