Melba Janet Kelley, 79, of Washington, passed away Monday, Oct. 14, 2024, at her home in Washington.
She was born March 11, 1945, to Eddie and Ethel (Ratliff) Davis in Smithville, Ark.
She was united in marriage to Ernest Wayne Kelley, Feb. 10, 1961, in St. Louis.
Melba drove a semi-truck over the road for 28 years. She loved singing, playing music, and dancing.
She was preceded in death by parents, Eddie and Ethel; husband, Ernest; son, Tracy Kelley; brothers, James Davis and Eddie Davis; sisters, Helen West, Jessie West, Katie Spratt, and Dora Sisco.
Melba is survived by daughters, Glenda Holland and husband Steve and Denise Andrews and husband Raymond; sister, Karen Williamson and husband Doug of Doniphan; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Saturday, Oct. 19, at Gottenstroeter Funeral Home Chapel in Owensville with Rev. Ronnie Koppelmann officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Gerald.
