Mildred Mae Beckley, 83, New Bloomfield, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022, at Villa Marie surrounded by her loving daughters.
She was born Oct. 21, 1939, to the late Thomas Patrick Edwards and Edna Mae Pointer (Edwards).
She was united in marriage to the late Donald “Don” Beckley, Nov. 25, 1971, in Fulton.
Mildred attended and graduated from Vienna High School. After school, she began working at Capital Region Medical Center, employed in respiratory therapy for 36 years. Upon retirement, she worked at Little Cats Child Care for 7–8 years. Mildred enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, scrap booking, traveling, reading, bird watching, crochet and knitting, soaking up the sun, spending time with her grandchildren, and she loved going on cruises with her husband Don. Mildred was a very outgoing woman and will be missed dearly.
She was proceeded in death by parents Thomas and Edna; husband Don; and sister Shirley Edwards.
She is survived by her children, Becky Goodrick (Bill), Jeanie Hill (Richard), Debra Gillispie, Diana Beckley, and Sarah Wilbers (Dylan); step-son, Wesley Palmer (Janelle); grandchildren, John, Nicole, Megan, Erin, Rebecca, Brooks, Andria, Devin, Tyler, Jacob, Zach, Bristol, Gatlin and Boone; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov. 16, from 4–6 p.m. at Houser-
Millard Funeral Directors with memorial services following with Bro. Don Snyder officiating.
Memorials suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
