It may say April on the calendar, but that hasn’t stopped more postseason honors coming in for Owensville Dutchmen and Dutchgirl basketball players.

In voting just over a week ago by media members of the Central Missouri Sportswriters and Sportscasters, three Owensville High School basketball players earned additional postseason honors.

Already named All-District by the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association (MBCA) and selected to the All-Four Rivers Conference (FRC) First Team, Dutchgirl junior Anna Finley was selected to the Media All-District First Team.

Also a MBCA All-District and All-FRC Second Team selection, Dutchgirl freshman Emma Daniels was one of 15 mid-Missouri Class 4 girls basketball players to be selected to the Media All-District Second Team.

Finley was not done at the district level for postseason honors.

She was also one of 20 girls basketball players named to the MBCA Class 4 All-State Girls Basketball Team.

Finley also played against several All-State girls basketball players ranging from classes two through six throughout the season.

All-State players that were on Owensville’s schedule included New Haven junior Mackenzie Wilson in Class 2.

Fatima senior Lauren Brandt also earned All-State accolades in Class 4 alongside Finley.

Three girls basketball players that played against Finley were honored in Class 5.

They included Union senior Reagan Rapert in addition to the Helias (Jefferson City) senior duo of Kylie Bernskoetter and Lindsey Byers. Rapert was also selected as the Class 5 Girls Basketball Player of the Year by the MBCA.

In Class 6, a pair of Jefferson City Lady Jays were named All-State in Sarah Linthacum and Kara Daily.

Off the court, Dutchgirl senior Katelyn Landolt earned Academic All-State honors for the second consecutive year from the MBCA.

In order to earn Academic All-State recognition, a player must:

• Be in good standing with the team.

• Possess outstanding moral character

• Have either a 27 or above on the ACT, 1920 or above on the SAT or a 185 or above on the PSAT in addition to a 3.25 grade-point average.
