Nancy Sue Fuller, 82, of Owensville, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2021, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 11, 1938, to James Edgar and Louise (Boysen) Wofford in Kansas City.
She was united in marriage to David Fuller August 30, 1959, at United Methodist Church in Westwood, Kan.
Nancy was a member of United Methodist Church in Rosebud, Rosebud United Methodist Women, Daughters of American Revolution, Owensville Garden Club and Missouri Retired Teachers Assn.
She attended Westwood Elementary School, Shawnee Mission High School and Baker University in Ballwin City, Kans. and while at Baker she met and married David. She was tour director at Hallmark Cards Headquarters while David was employed at Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. and then transferred to St. Louis. In 1977 they moved to Gasconade County and purchased a historic stone house built in 1876. Having enjoyed collecting primitive antiques during her married life, she now had a perfect home to display and enjoy them. She began quilting at the Rosebud Church and volunteering monthly at the Gasconade County Historical Museum. She had taught for 21 years in the Gasconade R-II School District. She was an outgoing person who loved life, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by parents, Eddie and Louise; husband David; and son, Mark David in infancy.
She is survived by daughters, Amy Louise Pohlmann and husband Gary of Rosebud and Carrie Sue Spicer and husband Donnie of Jefferson City; sister, Mary Louise Bouck of Overland Park, Kan.; sister-in-law, Julie Frye and husband Ken of Glascow, Ky.; brother-in-law, Larry Fuller of Las Vegas, Nev.; grandchildren, Aaron Pohlmann and wife Tori of Rosebud, Matthew Pohlmann and wife Nikki of Republic, Austin Spicer of Denton, Texas and Leah Spicer (Mitchell Mullen) of Columbia; great granddaughter, Jolene Pohlmann; niece, Ruth Frye Hannon of Overland Park, Kan.; and nephews, Chris Bouck and wife Danella of Cayman Islands, Brent Frye and wife Heather of Pittsburgh, Penn., Scott Frye and wife Cheryl of Mobile, Ala., Brian Fuller of Las Vegas, Nev. and Meg Cordy and husband David of Maryland.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 18 from 12 -2 p.m. at Gottenstroeter Chapel in Owensville.
Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the Chapel with Pastor John Hampton officiating. Burial will be in Rosebud United Methodist Cemetery in Rosebud.
