Terry R. Stevens, 58, was heading eastbound when he attempted to make a left turn at the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 and the west junction of Klemme Road. Stevens pulled into the path of Lantrip who was traveling westbound.
The 2003 Chevrolet Tracker Stevens was driving hit the motorcycle head-on, ejecting Lantrip who was not wearing a helmet.
Lantrip was transported to Mercy St. Louis by Air Evac with serious injuries. Stevens, who was using a seat belt, was uninjured.
The Yamaha was a total loss, the Tracker had extensive damage. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
Lantrip was still in serious condition in the ICU at Mercy St. Louis , according to Bethany Pope, media liaison. She says that means his vital signs are stable or unstable and not within normal limits, acutely ill with and indicators are questionable.
