Omer Howard Jones III, 67, St. Charles, passed away at his home Sunday, April 25, 2021.
He was born Feb. 22, 1954, to Omer Howard II and Elma Lee (Carron) Jones in Washington.
He was united in marriage to Judi Hassebroek, in Sullivan.
Omer grew up in Belle working in the family funeral business. He graduated high school and then attended mortuary school in Kentucky. He returned to operate the funeral home at the Belle location. Omer later helped operate his wife’s family funeral home, Hassebroek Memorial Chapel in Sullivan. After it was sold, he worked for Baue Funeral Home and later for Sygar Funeral Home.
He was preceded in death by parents, Omer and Elma; sister, Katherine Ann Jones; brother-in-law, Richard Miller; sister-in-law Janet Kincaid.
He is survived by wife, Judi; daughter, Annie Lancaster and husband, Jon; son, Jared Jones and wife Shelly; sisters, Paula Sue Miller of Republic, and Karen Biermann and husband, Steve of Washington; brother, Richard Jones and wife Deanna of St. James; and two grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, May 7, 6pm - 9pm at Glenmark Farms in Saint Charles, MO.
