A four-vehicle accident shut down U.S. Highway 50 Friday at 5:33 p.m.

According to a report filed by Tpr. M. W. Hedlund, with Troop C of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred just east of Greenstreet Road.

The report states that Srikanth Kasinadhuni, 34, of Fenton was traveling eastbound in a 2015 Tesla, Model S. He crossed the center line and the side of his vehicle struck the front of a westbound 2008 GMC Sierra driven by Richard E. Harmon, 40, of Gerald.

The impact of the crash caused the GMC truck to be rear ended by a 1996 Toyota Tacoma driven by Erik E. Klebba, 22, of Jefferson City.

Scott Hammel, 58, of St. Louis, was driving a 2006 Dodge Ram also westbound. In order to avoid a collision with the Tesla, he drove off the right side of the roadway and struck a road sign.

All drivers were using their seat belts. Kasinadhuni was transported to Mercy Washington by Gerald ambulance with moderate injuries. No other injuries were reported.

The Tesla was totalled in the collision, the GMC had extensive damage, while the other two vehicles had moderate damage. All were towed from the scene.
